why you don't like selling

Hello love,

Sometimes, our minds get caught up in a misguided view of what business is all about. Like it’s your interests as a seller vs. their interests as potential buyers: two opposing sides of an exchange.

This belief is especially loud when you buy into the idea that speaking about your offers and promoting your work is all about serving your own interests first. That selling means asking people to part with their hard-earned money so you can do what you love.

But that’s only one side of the story.

On the other side, there’s a person with a problem. Someone who doesn’t yet know that you hold the solution they’ve been searching for. Maybe they’ve even given up hope of ever finding the right answer.

It’s not you vs. them.

It’s you + them.

On the same team, journeying toward a shared goal.

When you speak about your services, your new course, your coaching program, or your latest product, you’re not just promoting something for your benefit.

You’re saying: “I care about you and your problems. I’ve invested my time and energy to create something that can truly help you.”

And that’s how everyone wins.

Power & light,

Jessica
