Do you feel like you enjoy most of your days in your life and business? Or does it sometimes feel too heavy, too cluttered, too frustrating, or not as romantic as you had pictured it would be?
I remember spending hours on Pinterest, getting so inspired on what I wanted my life to look like and feel like (minimalist beauty, calm, soft) - and then feeling so dissatisfied with how those pictures actually compared to my reality (messy, stressed, chaotic).
Piles of dishes in the sink, notebooks and laundry scattered everywhere, messy hair, empty cups of coffee, long days full of classrooms I didn't want to teach, commutes I didn't want to commute and daily stressors galore.
My own little version of "Nailed It".
For so long, I believed that one day, something major would shift in my life, and with a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, all around me would finally be Pinterest-worthy.
Everything will be perfect now, my dear.
Of course that never happened.
No Godmother ever came to save me.
No matter how many pins I pinned. No matter how many wishes upon a star. No matter how hard I'd try to fix my husband's life.
None of that worked.
But here's the recipe that works: Forget about a Pinterest version of your life and actually spend enough time to get to know yourself deeply so you can decide: what do I want my real day-to-day life to feel like?
Then take a big sheet of paper and scribble a plan on how to make it come true, evaluate what needs to be kicked out of your life and what kind of yoga pants you want to wear while sipping on your warm tea and do the work you love.
And then, finally, do it. Actually do it.
Focusing on the daily process, fully present.
Enjoying every minute of it, moment by moment.
Ignoring the results, the likes, the unsubscribes.
Celebrating the resonance, the impact, the invisible threads of universal energy supporting you and your dreams.
Tweak the plan as many times as needed so it keeps being aligned to the newest version of you.
Because the reality is, my dear one, the Godmother is you.
Power and light,
Jessica
