surviving a storm

Hello love,

In the night of Tuesday January 27 to Wednesday January 28, Portugal underwent a major storm. I don't even want to call it a storm because it wouldn't give it justice.

A bomb cyclone. Kristin.

The most devastated cities and towns are the ones around Leiria. That's where I live.

We're doing ok. We had no power, no communication, no water for days.

Right now, on Day 6, we don't have access to water yet.

Electricity came back on Saturday but left again last night. I'm using 4G and power banks right now.

The town is destroyed. And this is not an exaggeration.

I write about making a business and a life that feel cosy like a home, but right now nothing feels like home.

Everything feels like survival.

Priorities shift.

Community becomes a lifeline.

Resilience grows.

I don't have pretty lessons to share except this:

We over-estimate our importance in the eye of Nature.

We under-estimate how strong we are, when we work hand in hand, humans with humans.

Power and light,

Jessica

P.S: I'll be back soon with my regular schedule. I have a bundle of nice free resources to share with you, and other things I wanted to say. Just not today.

P.P.S: If you've been following that Analog Lifestyle Trend, I can now tell you: it's totally overrated. Do not recommend.

Helloo, I'm Jessica Tefenkgi Ruelle, soulful coach, copywriter & content strategist for highly sensitives in business.
